Important instructions, preparation guidelines, and daily routine for all defence aspirants at Mentors Defence Institute.
General Rules & Discipline
Discipline is the core foundation of a defence officer. All students must strictly adhere to the academy code of conduct:
- 1 Punctuality: Students must report to their respective classes 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Late entry is strictly prohibited.
- 2 Attendance: Minimum 85% attendance is mandatory for written exam batches and SSB mock evaluation sessions.
- 3 Dress Code: Smart casuals for written classes, and formal white attire (white shorts/T-shirt/shoes) for GTO tasks and physical conditioning sessions.
- 4 Gadgets: Mobile phones must be kept in switched off or silent mode during lecture hours.
Daily Routine of an Aspirant
To excel in SSB and UPSC written exams, students are advised to maintain a highly structured daily schedule:
Early Morning (05:30 AM - 07:00 AM)
Physical conditioning, running, stretching, and basic outdoor exercise to build stamina.
Forenoon (09:00 AM - 01:00 PM)
Core academic lectures covering Mathematics, General Sciences, English, and General Studies.
Afternoon (03:00 PM - 05:00 PM)
Library reference hours, self-study, and group discussions on current hot topics in the student lounge.
Evening (05:30 PM - 07:00 PM)
Doubt clearance sessions with teachers and one-on-one psychologist guidance workshops.
Weekly Testing Pattern
All regular students undergo standard weekly mock exams to evaluate progress:
- Every Saturday: Full-length written OMR mock test mapped strictly to UPSC patterns.
- Every alternate Sunday: Physical efficiency screening and outdoor GTO obstacle practice.
- Monthly Dossier Review: Performance tracking graphs are updated for individual student records.
Dedicated Doubt Cell
We understand that every student learns at their own pace. Our Dedicated Doubt Clearance Cell operates daily:
- One-on-one sessions with subject matter experts after regular class hours.
- Special doubt counters for complex topics like Calculus, Probability, and English Grammar.
- Previous Years Question (PYQ) worksheets are reviewed individually.
